Manager Biopharma Strategy Consulting

£80,000-110,000    London / Zurich

Our client is an emerging management consultancy adding value at every stage of the product and company lifecycle.  They partner with client teams, primarily in the biopharmaceutical industry, to help them achieve commercial success for their products and companies.

Description:  

Managers are expected to work closely with the leadership team to guide one or more consulting teams in the planning and execution of all aspects of client engagements, as well as to foster consulting team capabilities and culture, create intellectual property, and support the growth of client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with client leadership to define strategic and operational projects and guide consulting teams in successful project execution, including:

  •      Ensuring projects exceed expectations in terms of the client’s experience and the quality of project deliverables
    • Develop or adapt consulting frameworks and methodologies
    • Guide consulting teams in developing primary and secondary research plans, surveys and interview guides
    • Guide consulting teams in synthesising research findings and developing insights
    • Guide consulting teams in the framing and execution of data analysis, organisation and visualisation
    • Guide consulting teams in developing storyboards for reports and presentations
    • Guide consulting teams in developing project deliverables, findings and recommendations
    • Facilitate client meetings, presentations and workshops
    • Work with the Project Leader to continue to identify new opportunities based around client needs 

Managing team resources and client expectations to ensure projects are delivered successfully, including:

  •     Developing and managing to project plans
  •     Identifying and working with the Project Leader to address project risks
  •     Routinely communicating project insights and status with clients and collaborating to move projects forward
  •     Ensuring that through each engagement consulting teams develop professionally and personally
  •     Reinforcing and growing personal and team relationship as a thought partners with clients

Working alongside leadership to grow the firm through:

    •     Defining and driving personal Professional Development Plan
    •     Mentoring and coaching consulting team members
    •     Contributing to firm strategic planning and initiatives
    •     Creating new approaches and methodologies to address client needs
    •     Developing thought leadership and subject matter expertise in key industry topics
    •     Building and implementing account plans based on the most critical needs of clients
    •     Continuously reinforcing a culture that always puts clients and the team first

Experience and Capabilities:

Preferred experience and capabilities include a combination of the following:

    •    Experience in healthcare consulting for specialist or generalist firms
    •    Demonstrated experience managing team members in a project setting
    •    Experience working in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in commercial or medical functions
    •    Experience in focus therapeutic areas: Oncology, Immunology, Rare Diseases
    •    An advanced degree in science, engineering, business or medicine

Other Requirements:

  •    Work permit or visa eligibility, if applicable
  •    Willingness to travel for work throughout Europe and USA
  •    Ability to work in virtual teams
  •    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  •    Proficiency with English language
