P&MA Engagement Manager

Our client an exciting boutique P&MA Consultancy based in London are seeking a Global Executive Engagement Manager to join their high performing team.

 Engagement Managers are responsible for developing and owning client relationships, managing large and/or multiple global projects simultaneously while ensuring quality project deliverables, client satisfaction and ongoing staff development. Senior Engagement Managers will also support business development activities, including the identification of new or follow-on project opportunities, developing proposals, scopes of work and other contracting documents.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and managing all aspects of project works streams
  • Leading primary research
  • Synthesizing insight and recommendations from primary and secondary research
  • Providing the project team with clear direction
  • Managing the project plan to meet all client deliverables
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Leading client meetings and helping to manage client expectations
  • Delivering accurate, high-quality project deliverables
  • Developing expertise in specific topics/areas and leveraging this for thought-leadership activities, pitches etc.
  • Supporting business development activities, with a view to generating leads and opportunities


  • An undergraduate degree in Science, Economics, Business or a related field with a record of academic excellence
  • A minimum of four years in pricing & market access, either in healthcare consulting or within the pharmaceutical industry

Other required:

  • A robust, in-depth understanding of the European healthcare systems, notably the payer decision-making processes (market access and funding pathways, health technology assessments, pricing policies and mechanisms etc.)
  • A strong track record in managing successful pricing & market access projects, including excellent project and team management skills (e.g. mentoring junior staff members)
  • Proven ability to bring critical thinking, analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude for building strong client relationships, building trust for future opportunities and longer-term partnerships
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Track record of extra-curricular achievement that shows initiative and drive


  • Master’s or PhD degree in Science, Economic, Business or a related field
  • Business-level proficiency in French, German, Italian or Spanish
